Oral Surgery
Our office is fully equipped to handle the most common oral surgery procedures. We are focused on helping our patients obtain the optimum level of comfort during oral surgery. Please talk with any of our staff members about your concerns related to a surgical procedure.
One of our most common surgical procedures is the extraction of teeth. Dental extractions can occur for many reasons, such as:
- You may choose extraction because the other alternatives are simply too expensive.
- We may decide that the tooth is not repairable, or may be impractical to repair under the circumstances, and extraction is the best of a bunch of bad alternatives.
- Removal of the tooth may be a matter of health. This is the case in the decision to remove impacted wisdom teeth, teeth associated with cysts or tumors, or teeth that would otherwise compromise the patient's oral health if left in place.
- Teeth are frequently removed because they are crowded and their removal would allow us to consider other options to provide a more balanced look for the remaining teeth.
We offer sedation therapy for all patients undergoing complicated or long oral surgery procedures. Please ask us if sedation is right for you.
