Fillings

If you have a cracked or broken tooth, or you have a cavity, a common treatment you may need is a filling. We want your teeth to look good, so we use a tooth-colored material called composite for all our fillings. We also use a dental laser, so patients don’t need anesthetic injections for fillings.  However, for patients that are very nervous, we offer a number of sedation options, including nitrous oxide.

Sealants

Children (and adults) can benefit from sealants, clear protective coatings that are painted onto the chewing surfaces of the back teeth, where most cavities form. Sealants cover the grooves and crevices of back teeth so cavities cannot form.  If your child is at high risk for cavities, Dr. Gross may recommend sealing the teeth as early as possible, and even seal the premolars for young children.  For children under 14, insurance will typically cover this treatment.  We will gladly help you determine your insurance coverage.
